The STORY Behind the Piece:
The Director of the the Botanical Illustration program at Denver's Botanic Garden's asked Dawn to submit a peice for the book, "Practice Makes Perfect: A Botanical Illustration Sketchbook." A dear friend of Dawn's grows hundreds of gorgeous irises every year. She was very kind and supplied unlimited access to her garden as Dawn created this piece.
